RenΓ©e's Take Β· Jun 2026
I tested 8 infant formulas from 8 brands across 8 safety checks β including Active Recall / Microbial Safety and Carbohydrate Source. Every product was scored the same way β material safety first, then real-world performance and ease of use.
What I found: The top picks pass third-party safety verification and hold up in everyday use. The infant formulas I left off had unverified material claims, missing certifications, or hidden tradeoffs that matter for daily cooking.
Here's what came out on top:
The criteria R3 evaluates for every infant formula
Active Recall / Microbial Safety, Carbohydrate Source, Fat Blend (seed/palm oils)
Protein Quality (whey:casein, milk base), Digestive Gentleness, DHA / ARA Included
