Know before you buy
These are polypropylene plastic containers. While FDA-approved and BPA-free, plastic inherently scores lower than glass or stainless steel for food-contact safety in our methodology. If material safety is your top priority, look at glass alternatives.
You need affordable, disposable-friendly containers for daily meal prep and packed lunches

GladWare uses food-grade polypropylene for both the container and lid. PP is FDA-approved and BPA-free by nature, but it is a plastic — and plastics inherently score lower than glass or stainless steel for food contact safety in our methodology. The PP lid actually scores higher than many competitors that use unspecified plastic.
Criteria
Food-grade polypropylene is FDA-approved for food contact and is BPA-free by its chemical nature. It has low leaching risk at normal refrigerator and room temperatures, though it is not as chemically inert as glass.
The PP lid is the same FDA-approved material as the container body — consistent and transparent. PP is one of the safer plastics for food contact.
The Lock Tight snap-seal lids do a good job preventing leaks for packed lunches and leftovers. The main limitation is that plastic containers have no oven-safe rating — they are microwave and refrigerator only. If you need to reheat in the oven, this is not the container for that.
Criteria
GladWare nails daily convenience. The lids snap on and off with one hand, everything goes in the dishwasher, and the interlocking lids with stackable containers keep your cabinets organized. This is the easiest container in the category to live with day-to-day.
Criteria
Both containers and lids are top-rack dishwasher safe. The plastic resists heat and moisture in the dishwasher without warping.

Confirmed BPA-free for both the PP containers and PP lids.
Glad has not published PFAS-free testing for GladWare containers. This is typical across most food storage brands in this category.
These plastic containers are not oven-safe. They handle microwave reheating fine, but if you need to go from fridge to oven, you will need a glass container instead.
The Lock Tight snap seal clicks into place and provides reliable leak resistance for soups, sauces, and packed lunches.
Lids snap on with a single press — the fastest and most convenient lid mechanism for grabbing leftovers from the fridge.
Containers stack neatly and lids interlock, keeping your cabinet organized even with multiple sets.
