The Emeril Lagasse Power AirFryer 360 has had a class-action lawsuit for fire/overheating hazards, cannot verify PFAS-free status, and only offers a 90-day warranty. Better alternatives exist.
The verdict
There was a class-action lawsuit alleging units overheat to dangerous temperatures. Even though it was dismissed, I'm not willing to risk it when better alternatives exist.

"Safe for family use"
Class-action lawsuit filed November 2021 alleging units overheat to dangerous temperatures (537Β°C), causing fire and burn hazards. Lawsuit was dismissed, but allegations are documented.
"PFAS-free coating"
Cannot verify. Customer service claims PFAS-free, but older documentation mentions PTFE. Prop 65 warning on French Door model adds concern.
"Quality warranty protection"
Only 90-day warrantyβthe shortest I've seen. Industry standard is 1 year. Suggests manufacturer isn't confident in durability.
"Reliable brand"
Tristar Products (the manufacturer) has a history of recalls on other products. Infomercial product quality concerns.
"Easy cleanup"
NOT dishwasher-safe. Accessories not truly non-stickβrequires frequent scrubbing. Hand-wash only.
My take: Overwhelmingly positive. Buyers consistently praise the fast cooking. The few complaints about plastic smell are minor.

βTL;DR - decent product, just wish the drip tray was more dishwasher-friendlyβ
βWhat stands out the most is the easy-to-clean interior and the simple temperature control handlingβ
βMy old toaster smelled like burned plastic in half of it so we didnβt use that side, I threw it outβ
βThe table you see in the first picture that all the food is laud out on is a 6β plastic folding table and thatβs my βcounter spaceβ to prep stuff onβ
βOriginal review: I bought this to replace my basket air fryer and my toaster oven, supposedly 2 in 1! I was surprised, once removed from the cardboard box, how SMALL this Emeril 360 air fryer is! My...β
